In the joint initiative TREC-NewMat, IDM Südtirol, Chemelot Industrial Park and Chemistry-Cluster Bavaria aimed to identify, evaluate and accelerate European smart specialization investments. By combining cluster management tools, technology park operation and professional site development a new quality of infrastructure investment options of strategic importance for European competitiveness were presented.
