The bio-based economy is a strongly emerging sector with enormous potential. However, this is not yet being fully exploited. Fossil resources are still primarily used as starting materials instead of renewable, bio-based raw materials. The bioeconomy is also a growth sector in Bavaria, for which the Bavarian state government is currently developing a bioeconomy strategy. There have been numerous research and development activities for years, such as the TUM Campus Straubing, which has even been offering a bioeconomy course of study since last autumn.

In order to give you an insight into the competencies, success stories, potentials and products of the bioeconomy in Bavaria, we invite you to take part in our Bioeconomy Expert Forum in Straubing on January 22nd.
