Integration of Renewable Raw Materials into Value Chains of the Plastics Industry through the Development of a Cluster for the Use of Renewable Raw Materials in the Plastics Industry.
The future of the plastics industry is sustainable – with biobased raw materials, circular economy principles, and innovative solutions. The CREATE project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), supports companies in successfully integrating biobased plastics and composite materials into industrial practice.
As a strong network, CREATE brings together companies, research institutions, universities, and public authorities across the entire value chain – from raw material suppliers to processors and recyclers – with a focus on Northern Bavaria and beyond. Our goal is to overcome barriers to the use of renewable raw materials and actively promote sustainable, biobased solutions.
🔹 Expert Forums & Networking Events – Exchange and collaboration across the entire value chain
🔹 Educational Programs & Workshops – Knowledge transfer on new materials, processes, and markets
🔹 Digital Tools – LCA tool, sustainability information system, technology platform, and raw materials exchange
🔹 Market Studies & Business Ecosystem Mapping – Strategic insights for targeted market expansion
🔹 Match-Making & Collaborations – Easy access to potential business and development partners
CREATE is led by SKZ – The Plastics Center. Project partners Chemie-Cluster Bayern, C.A.R.M.E.N. e.V., and Umweltcluster Bayern work together to drive sustainable transformation in the plastics industry in Northern Bavaria and beyond.
Participation in the CREATE network is free of charge and offers companies a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the transformation of the plastics industry. Use our platforms to advance innovation and connect with experts.
