On August 17, the first training for the use of the software “Value-Chain-Generator” (VCG) took place online. In addition to cluster employees, employees from business development agencies and universities, several interested companies also took part in the training – a total of 23 interested people were welcomed online for the training.

The VCG software contains a database with public information on actors from research and industry. The highlight is: With the contained information on input materials, end products and residual materials, companies can be quickly and easily linked to new value chains in the sense of the bioeconomy. In this way, the software supports the transformation to a biobased economy and represents a valuable tool for individual regions.

After a short introduction about the relevance of an online tool for the networking of sustainable enterprises, the training took place live. For the first time, the new functions and the user-friendly user interface were presented, which was further developed in the last months by the former project partner from Switzerland (iCoSys) and Slovenia (Anteja ECG) with their own funding. All participants received their own account for the software and can of course continue to use it after the project has ended.
