Who are you, and what makes FoxBase a Best of Technology award winner?

FoxBase is an AI-driven SaaS company from Düsseldorf with the mission to radically simplify B2B sales. Our digital sales solution – the Digital Product Selector – is revolutionizing how companies sell complex, explanation-intensive products. Since our founding in 2018, we have pursued a technology- and user-centered approach to make sales teams more efficient, faster, and more successful.

Our solution stands out through the use of voice-based artificial intelligence that can communicate with end customers in natural language, understand their needs, and instantly suggest suitable products. This capability not only earned us the Best of Technology Award 2024 but also confirms our role as an innovation leader in the digitalization of B2B sales.

Your Digital Product Selector helps companies make “explanation-intensive products” easily accessible. Can you give us a practical example of what such products are and how your software supports their sales?

Explanation-intensive products are often technically complex and cannot easily be sold through a conventional online shop – something we frequently see in the chemical industry. In this field, formulations, areas of application, and legal requirements often need to be tailored to each customer’s needs.

A practical example: A chemical company that sells specialty chemicals to the pharmaceutical industry must help its customers identify the exact product variant suitable for their production process among hundreds of options. Requirements can vary greatly depending on the sector, purity level, safety standards, or regulatory frameworks.

With our Digital Product Selector, customers are guided through an intelligent needs analysis – for example, through targeted questions about the intended application, regulatory requirements, or material properties. Our software processes this information in real time, filters the product portfolio, and displays the best options – including technical data sheets and application examples. This reduces follow-up questions, relieves the technical sales team, and measurably increases conversion rates.

Our clients can configure, test, and launch their digital AI advisor within minutes – fully compliant and without any programming skills required.

What role does Artificial Intelligence (AI) play in this?

Artificial intelligence is at the core of our solution. We combine Large Language Models (LLMs) with traditional methods such as faceted search and real-time calculations to enable a flexible and powerful interaction. Our AI understands natural language, can integrate domain-specific industry knowledge, and provides precise recommendations instantly – without human intervention.

The key advantage: companies can build their own domain-specific knowledge libraries, making their expertise digitally accessible. This makes our solution not only powerful but also highly adaptable and future-proof. Furthermore, integration into existing systems (CRM, CMS, e-commerce, etc.) is seamless.

Our goal is to make access to cutting-edge AI technology as easy as possible for SMEs and make it available to a broad user base.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?

To make it as easy as possible for companies and employees to get started, we’re currently offering a limited-time, four-week Proof of Concept (PoC). This gives companies an immediately deployable solution to test the potential of high-quality AI in sales support and to generate measurable value within a very short time – from significant workload reduction to a noticeably shorter sales cycle.
