F.A. Finger-Institut für Baustoffkunde (FIB) / Bauhaus-Universität Weimar

Profile:

The FIB is a competent partner for all questions relating to the analysis, testing, development and assessment of traditional, new and historical building materials. The institute is equipped with modern testing and plant technology and has a large number of competent employees who are also active in the field of building damage analysis and building restoration. The FIB includes the professorships ‘Construction Materials’, ‘Construction Chemistry and Polymer Materials’ and ‘Mechanics of Materials’.

The FIB also organises the International Building Materials Conference (ibausil) in Weimar.

Practical relevance plays a major role in all scientific fields. Test assignments, expert opinions and product development are therefore also part of our range of services.’
