Biogas-Fond is operating a demonstration plant near Nördlingen with its partners since March 2022. The patented process with the brand name EMISSION CO2NTROL™ removes up to 99.9% CO2 and generates valuable raw materials. The low electrical energy requirement of < 60 kWh/t CO2 makes it much more efficient than existing processes. The generated raw materials can be further processed into valuable and sustainable products such as biofuels, biofertilisers or material for 3D printing (porcelain cement) in order to achieve long-term carbon sequestration.
