IDEALIST is preparing its 5th Learning Expedition (LEX #5), which will take place on 10–11 June 2026 in Nantes, France. The event will be hosted by ALBATROS GIE and will focus on 3D printing (additive manufacturing) and hybrid manufacturing processes.
Learning Expeditions are a flagship activity within IDEALIST. They are designed as hands-on, on-site experiences that enable companies to learn directly from industrial practices, explore emerging technologies and exchange with peers along European value chains.
LEX #5 will be dedicated to additive manufacturing and hybrid production technologies, two key enablers for more flexible, efficient and resilient industrial production systems.
Participants will gain insights into how these technologies are already being applied in real industrial environments.
Technical conferences on current developments and industrial applications of 3D printing and hybrid manufacturing
A Strategic Foresight workshop supporting SMEs in anticipating future technological and market trends
Factory visits to leading industrial players such as Airbus, Daher and Loiretech, offering direct exposure to advanced production environments
Dedicated networking sessions and peer-to-peer exchanges to foster collaboration across sectors and regions
Nantes is a dynamic industrial hub where aeronautics, advanced manufacturing and innovation-driven SMEs coexist within a strong regional ecosystem.
Hosting LEX #5 in Nantes offers participants the opportunity to explore how additive and hybrid manufacturing processes are integrated into industrial value chains and to engage with companies and stakeholders at the forefront of these transformations.
To facilitate SME participation, travel vouchers of up to €500 will be available for eligible SME representatives attending LEX #5.
