With an export quota of over 60 percent, the members of the Chemie-Cluster Bayern are present in all global markets. In addition to the large-scale industry, medium-sized enterprises nowadays also frequently gain a foothold on global niche markets successfully, living up to the title of the so-called “hidden champions.” The Chemie-Cluster Bayern offers these enterprises a broad framework of action on efficient internationalization activities led by the Cluster and partly supported by the Federal and State Ministries.
In contrast to other Cluster-Initiatives, internalization issues in Cheme-Cluster Bayern are interdisciplinarily integrated in all business areas of the Cluster. We connect international cooperation partners for research and development projects if there are leading know-how carriers or relevant strategic partners for market entry overseas. We can reach and communicate with suppliers, distributors, and new customers interested in innovations worldwide quickly.
In addition, the Chemie-Cluster is closely connected with representatives of the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad as well as foreign clusters, and therefore has access to experienced partners from the region. Our current important partner regions are shown below.
The Chemie-Cluster Bayern forges numerous stategic alliances with internatinal cluster management offices and regional or national innovative networks. With these alliances we can fercilitate B2B sales of our members with European partners. Advanced R&D projects are an essential fundamental for the entry and a sound position in successful high-tech and life science markets. Thus, the Cluster directly acts as a project partner in EU-projects to actively partake in the structuring of advanced innovation projects.
The Chmie-Cluster Bayern is active across the whole continent: In particular, there is a brisk exchange in the fields of mining and aerospace with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. South American delegations visit the Cluster regularly to stay informed about services of our members and to discuss specific problems. In the past, regular dialogues with large American market leaders were arranged within the framework of “Transatlantic Technology Transfer Initiative – TTTI” in order for us to identify American supply chains for the members. We exploit the contacts to explore possibilities in new technology and cooperation requests and to acquire projects on the American continent.
Particularly for targeted markets in China, the Chemie-Cluster has strategic partnerships in the industry with major customers and suppliers as well as with political institutions. We offer a reliable framework for you to engage in (be it in the form of public contracts, business offices, investments, or R&D cooperation with Chinese enterprises). Together with Bayern International and the Bavarian representatives in Qingdao and Guangzhou, we provide comprehensive support in all market development projects in China. For requests concerning cooperation with Chinese enterprises or industrial parks, please consult our database for international cooperation.
Since the lifting of sanctions against Iran, the relationship between Iran and Bavaria was consolidated again. During her visit in Tehran, the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Ilse Aigner (CSU) announced to set up a working group to strengthen the economic ties. In the Province of Kerman, there is a great need for new technologies in the fields of mechanical engineering, automobile, energy, and the environment. Together with an Iranian partner, the Chemie-Cluster Bayern is actively transmitting suitable technologies, products, and know-how to the member companies.
Australia also provides our members with valuable cooperation opportunities. The sectors of farming & food technologies, raw materials & mining, renewable energies and environmental technologies are popular areas for a German-Australian collaboration. Please get in touch with us if you are interested in working together with partners from Down Under.
